TPERF conducts research on the core elements of education reform: high standards, assessment, accountability, professional development of teachers and student
success. This research is designed to educate Texans on the value of education reform and to provide recommendations and guidance to statewide education organizations, educators, parents,
business leaders, and policymakers in their efforts to maintain and build on the recent progress achieved by the education reform movement in Texas. They can use this information as
they design accountability and support systems, evaluate the results of past policies, and implement new and innovative initiatives.
